Energy that doesn't cost the Earth

  • Why Renewables?
    Reduce your carbon footprint

Environmental benefits

Continued consumption of fossil fuels is increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere resulting in climate change and global warming. Our homes account for almost 27% of the UK’s CO2 emissions, more than 80% of which is attributed to our heating and hot water provision.

Renewable energy technologies are clean sources of energy that have low environmental impact and will not run out unlike fossil fuels. By increasing our capacity for generating green, renewable energy we will in turn reduce our green house gas emissions. By installing a heat pump you can dramatically reduce your carbon footprint.

"It has been concluded that heat pumps are the single technology that could reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of households better than every other technology that is available on the market" - http://pubs.rsc.org

Efficient technology

We now have the technology in the form of heat pumps, to harness free energy from the sun that falls on the planet each day heating the ground, air and water. Heat pumps are extremely energy efficient. They can generate 3 to 4 units of heat for every unit of energy they use, making them 300 to 400% efficient as opposed to new conventional boilers that are only 95% efficient at best.

Energy security

By generating your own supply of heat from sustainable resources you reduce your reliance on other sources of power such as oil, coal, gas or LPG, that may be imported and subject to price fluctuations.

What are the Government doing?

The UK Government are committed to reducing carbon emissions, with heating in the home being a priority in their strategy. The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero aims to reduce carbon emissions by 45% by 2030 in order to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government financial incentive to support the decarbonisation of heating in buildings. Acting on behalf of property owners, we can apply for:

  • £7,500 off the cost and installation of an air source heat pump
  • £7,500 off the cost and installation of a ground source heat pump, including water source heat pumps
  • £450 million of grant funding is available over three years from 2022 to 2025.

The Future

Renewable Energy is the future. Compared to fossil and nuclear fuels, its impact on the planet is minimal, and it makes economic sense too. Installing a Renewable Energy heat pump means you could

  • Have reliable heating and hot water,
  • Save on your energy bills and
  • Be paid to do your bit for the Environment.
